I had a PET scan last week and got the results on Monday. It was a mixed bag of results like usual but overall it was good.
The one tumor in my belly fat did get bigger but it doesn't bother me at all. Since it isn't dangerous (near organs) and isn't causing issues, we are just going to leave it alone for now.
The deeper tumors were mostly stable or smaller. So we are continuing with the current chemo, Elahere, that I've been on for 2.5 years now.
I am having more neuropathy, pain and numbness from the chemo. Since I'm not as steady on my feet, my primary care doctor recommended I use a cane. That's taken some getting use to.
My PET scan did show my esophagus lighting up, so I'll be seen by my old GI doctor. My primary care doctor said I may need an endoscopy. I'll be seen by GI mid-March and get more information then.
Both kids have been doing basketball at the YMCA this season.
They both enjoyed playing out in the winter weather. Lots of sledding and eating snow!
Parker got to do a Cheerleader-in-Training this week and had an absolute blast.
Wilson is looking forward to playing baseball this spring and Parker wants to try dance for the first time.
Prayer requests:
1. Praise for PET scan results. Pray to continued effectiveness of the current chemo treatments. Pray for endurance.
2. Pray for the GI appointment to go well and no issues to arise.
3. Pray for our friends Glenn, Mai, and Crystal- all on chemo treatments as well.
