Bruises, baseball, and iron

I had my PET scan about a month ago. It showed that all the deeper tumors (the ones around my organs) are stable which is good news.

There is a new tumor in my SubQ fat. This is the area between your skin and muscle wall. It is below my belly button and I didn't even realize it was there. Since it isn't causing any issues (no pain, not near any vital organs), we are just going to watch and monitor for now.

Wilson turned 9 and wanted to just have a bunch of boys over from his class to play. He said it was the "funest party ever." Also had a great visit with my Aunt Kristin.

This past week, we were walking out to our car from Parker's game on a gravel lot in the dark. I slipped on a rock, fell on my left knee and shoulder. Thankfully, I didn't hit my head. I went to my primary care the next day to get checked out and X-rays showed no fractures! Pretty good since I have osteoporosis (brittle bones). Hopefully that means the infusion I had this summer is helping to strengthen them.

My left knee progression

My shoulder progression

I had chemo Monday and since my hemoglobin keeps dropping, it was time to check my iron levels. They were low, so I'm getting three infusions a week apart to help bring it back up. I'm having my first one today.

Prayer requests:
1. That this new tumor doesn't cause any issues or pain.
2. That the iron infusions go well with no ill side effects.
3. For my energy levels to boost up with the iron infusions.
